MOL’s CPO Approved Working at Heights Training  **ONLY for those workers who have previously completed a Ministry of Labor’s Chief Prevention Office (CPO) Approved program since April 1 2015. Please review all of the individual courses dates that are available to you and select all of the ones that you wish to attend.

Upon registering for WAH, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that will comply with the 2017 MOL’s Chief Prevention Office requirements.

Overview

You must have taken an Approved Working At Heights Course since April 2015. If you have not taken a full day MOL’s CPO approved Working at Heights in the past, The MOL’s CPO will not provide a training card.  The requirement for Working at Heights Training basically includes 100% of all personnel who enter a construction site, everyone must be trained to understand guardrails, floor covers and their responsibilities. The reason for Working at Heights training is simple; falls are the single largest contributor to construction fatalities (deaths). Therefore better training should reduce the number of construction workers getting killed due to falls. Our Working at Heights Training program is comprised of 2 parts: 1 – Fall Prevention 2 – Fall Arrest Examples of fall prevention includes:

• Proper use of ladders
• Proper scaffold erection
• Properly built guardrails and floor covers
• Working from scissor lifts and travel restraint procedures

*Fall Prevention explores different ways workers are falling, and discusses basic safety procedures on how to prevent these types of falls. *Fall Arrest refers to the wearing of a harness and associated equipment.

Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 48 hours cancellation notice is required, no refunds will be given or if not prepaid you will be invoiced for the seats.  For Example:  If you have a booking for a Thursday class, cancellation must be before 8am Tuesday Morning.
