Overview
The requirement for Working at Heights Training basically includes 100% of all personnel who enter a construction site, everyone must be trained to understand guardrails, floor covers and their responsibilities.
The reason for Working at Heights training is simple; falls are the single largest contributor to construction fatalities (deaths). Therefore better training should reduce the number of construction workers getting killed due to falls.
Our Working at Heights Training program is comprised of 2 parts:
1 – Fall Prevention 2 – Fall Arrest
Examples of fall prevention includes:
- Proper use of ladders
- Proper scaffold erection
- Properly built guardrails and floor covers
- Working from scissor lifts and travel restraint procedures
*Fall Prevention explores different ways workers are falling, and discusses basic safety procedures on how to prevent these types of falls.
*Fall Arrest refers to the wearing of a harness and associated equipment.
