Qualitative Mask Fit Testing

Qualitative Mask Fit Testing is an  essential tools that save lives in hazardous environments. Properly fitted respirators not only enhance comfort but also ensure maximum protection against harmful airborne contaminants.

Qualitative fit testing determines if a face mask fits you properly. Under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), employers must conduct fit testing for masks and respirators. The act specifies that “An employer who provides a worker with a respirator must provide training and instruction in the care and use of the respirator before the worker’s first use.”

A mask fitting is required for all workers using any of the following types of respirators in the workplace as part of their employer’s respiratory protection program:

• Filtering masks such as N95 or KN95 masks
• Half-face respirators
• Full-face respirators
• SCBA’s

Participants are required to provide their own masks for the Qualitative Mask Fitting sessions. This ensures that each individual uses a mask they are familiar with during the fitting process.

To ensure a timely appointment, please schedule your mask fit test or respirator fit test as soon as possible.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your booking Mask Fit, please provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. If you haven’t prepaid, we will invoice you for the reserved seats.   For Example:  If you have a booking for a Thursday class, cancellation must be before 8am Tuesday Morning.
