Who can take the Elevated Work Platform course?
The Elevated Work Platform course is designed for anyone who needs or wants to learn how to safety operate the boom and scissor lifts. For those interested in taking this training you must have a valid Working at Heights certificate or Fall Protection or Fall Arrest certificate in order to operate the boom and scissor lifts. Also, we do require that you bring the certificate with you to the training. If you have lost your Working at Heights certificate but it is still valid please call the office at 519-220-1918 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help you. BuildSafe’s expert-leading training program is the gold standard in Elevated Work Platform Operator Safety training. The latest CSA Standards refers to this course as MEWP or Mobile Elevated Work Platform. They are both the same. Within the course we will cover both boom and scissor lifts.
In this course there will be both a theoretical as well as a practical portion. Firstly, we will start with the theory, followed by a short test and then the practical portion. For the practical’s we do provided harness and lanyards however, if you do have your own we encourage that you bring them and we can also properly fit them to you. Also, we do have harness and lanyards available for purchase if you need. Lastly, upon successful completion of the course you will receive your Elevated Work Platform certification. Receiving proper training of the boom and scissor lifts are so important for your safety and the safety of others.

A minimum of 48 hours cancellation notice is required, no refunds will be given or if not prepaid you will be invoiced for the seats. For Example: If you have a booking for a Thursday class, cancellation must be before 8am Tuesday Morning.
